These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your participation in our closed, invite-only personal design cohort ("Pilot"). By submitting data or participating in alignment sessions, you agree to these Terms.
1. Experimental Nature & "As-Is" Service Disclaimer
SkillBearings is currently operated as a private, personal project by its co-founders residing in Portugal. This Pilot is entirely experimental, pre-revenue, and pre-incorporation.
- There are no software uptime guarantees, automated user dashboards, or login interfaces available during this phase.
- All data integration, entry, and graph-ledger transformations are processed manually by the co-founders.
- This experimental framework is provided strictly on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.
- We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data loss will not occur during database migrations.
- You acknowledge that any processing tools utilized during this pilot (including Google Gemini and Infomaniak’s Euria AI) function strictly as text-formatting productivity aids for the co-founders. No automated profiling, algorithmic filtering, or autonomous decision-making takes place within our data structures without 100% human oversight, review, and final validation.
2. Intellectual Property & Data Ownership Boundaries
We believe deeply in individual data sovereignty. This project establishes a clear division of data custody:
- Your Narrative: You retain absolute ownership, copyright, and portable custody of all raw career facts, personal descriptions, professional milestones, and text/voice inputs you volunteer to share with us.
- Our Core Architecture: The systems logic, custom database structures, specific Neo4j graph schemas, contextual processors, and the conceptual "Orienteering" framework used to interpret capabilities remain the exclusive proprietary intellectual property of the co-founders . You may not reverse-engineer or duplicate our custom data architecture .
3. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use
As a valued design partner, you agree to interact with the project in alignment with the following ground-truth principles:
- Authenticity of Evidence: You agree to provide accurate, real-world statements regarding your deliverables, timelines, and milestones. You must not submit deliberately fraudulent achievements or fabricated credentials.
- No Confidential/Privileged Data: You must ensure that the text logs, emails, or project templates you share do not contain proprietary corporate secrets, non-disclosure agreement (NDA) violations, or privileged third-party information.
- Prohibited Content: You must not transmit any content that is unlawful, defamatory, or violates European data safety standards.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in Portugal and the European Union, the co-founders shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in any way connected to your participation in this Pilot. This includes, but is not limited to, data loss, profile corruption, career disruption, or your relative success or failure in active job markets, client negotiations, or educational pathways.
5. Termination of Partnership
You have the absolute right to leave this Pilot cohort at any time. Simply notifying the co-founders or typing "Delete my ledger" will immediately terminate this agreement. Upon termination, your active data ledger and all database nodes linked directly to your personal identity will be permanently and completely expunged from our system within 72 hours.
6. Governing Law
These Terms, and any disputes arising from your voluntary participation in this personal project, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal.
7. Changes to the Protocol
As this project evolves toward automated software and formal European incorporation, we will occasionally modify these Terms. We will notify our 10 design partners directly of any material updates before they take effect.
